Our weekly lottery is a fun and exciting way for new and existing supporters to get involved in raising funds to help fund the care our hospice provides. We hope that by offering a choice of ways to get involved, we’ll reach more people and continue to engage our existing and valued supporters too.

We’re committed to operating our lottery in a safe, secure and responsible way, and we are licensed by the Gambling Commission.

You will receive a 6-digit lottery number when you enter. And every Friday you will be entered into our draw. The winning digits are chosen at random.

You can sign up to 10 chances per draw for a £1 each, giving you even more chances to win one of our fantastic prizes.

Prizes are issued and posted to the winner directly, there is no need to claim.

You must be at least 18 years old to participate in our Weekly Lottery.

When you enter the lottery, you will be sent a unique 6-digit number. This number will be chosen at random and will be your number for as long as you play our lottery.

With 9,206 entries and 17 prizes each week, each member has a 1 in 541 chance of winning any individual prize, giving an overall weekly win probability of around 0.18%. Over a full year of membership (52 weeks).

Last year (2024/5) we were able to pass an amazing £379,849 to the hospice providing vital support for local people and their families living with life-limiting illnesses. This equates to 72.8% of our total lottery income, after the deduction of prizes (15.6%) and expenses (11.6%).

We always try to keep our costs to a minimum to ensure we raise as much as we can for the hospice. Since the lottery started in July 2004, our lottery players have raised over £8.6 million for Rowcroft Hospice, providing vital care for local people and their families living with a life-limiting illness.

By playing our lottery, you are helping us to continue to be there for local people in South Devon and their families when they need us.

No, this is not possible and you will need to set up another Direct Debit for lottery payments.

(This means that if you want to cancel the lottery at any time, this does not affect your current Direct Debit with us).

Each chance in the lottery cost £4.34 a month. This is based on you paying £1 a week over a 52-week year.

Your Direct debit will be collected monthly. Some months will have five weeks and some months will have four. The additional £0.34p will build up credit to cover the months where there are five weeks.

Following registration there are a number of administrative processes to complete, like verifying your payment details with your bank, claiming the funds from your bank account and the funds being received.

Within 21 days of signing up you will receive a letter of confirmation which includes your unique lottery number(s). You will also be given the date you will first be included in the draw.

When the draw takes place, all winners will be sent notification by post or email. You will not need to claim your prize.
